Bewl Water is the largest lake in the South East of England and boasts a perimeter of 17 miles. It is located about 10 minutes' drive from Bedgebury Camping. Bewl is worth a visit for waterbabes and landlubbers alike.
For the adventurous types, there are watersports, cycle hire for mountain biking and thrills galore with 'Treejumpers'. Here you can get the adrenalin rushing as you step inside a huge sphere and walk on water, zip down a wire 40ft in the air, simulate the feeling of free falling through the sky with a power fan or battle with gravity with the 3G Swing.
If you would rather take life at a more relaxed pace then perhaps a spot of fly fishing for trout or a leisurely, 40 minute cruise on 'The Swallow' passenger boat is more your thing. A gentle stroll on the water's edge is perfect for those who just want to admire the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Children will have great fun exploring the magical woodland play area, the beach and its climbing boulders and the fabulous, new play equipment.
Once you have all worked up an appetite, there is a picnic area and a family restaurant where you can enjoy lunch.
If you would like to incorporate a visit to Bewl Water into a short break, then why not consider staying at Bedgebury Camping which is situated on the edge of the picturesque Wealden village of Goudhurst.
