Exploring the countryside

There are miles of public footpaths in the area, one of which runs through the main camping field. Come prepared with your own OS map of the area (High Weald 136) or borrow one from Bedgebury Camping. All we ask is that you put down a refundable deposit for its return.

Visiting the local myriad of historic houses and castles

These include Finchcocks Musical Museum, Scotney Castle, Sissinghurst Castle & Gardens, Bodiam Castle and Marle Place. Leeds Castle is further afield taking approximately 40 minute by car.

Getting active on or off the ground

Both nearby Bedgebury Pinetum and Bewl Water host high adrenalin activities and water-based activities (Bewl). Alternatively these places are ideal for walking and observing nature.

Visiting local vineyards

There are three wine producers in the Weald of Kent – Chapel Down Winery in Tenterden, Biddenden Vineyard and Lamberhurst Vineyard all within 30 minutes drive.

The beach at Camber sands

The golden dunes of Camber Sands is approximately 25 miles away.

Shopping

The historic and beautiful town of Royal Tunbridge Wells is only 10 miles away and is home to a mix of antique shops, luxury boutiques and high street fashion stores.
