For those who prefer their adventures to be on terra firma, mountain biking in Bedgebury Forest is also available. Cyclists of all abilities can enjoy the beautiful landscape with 9km of family routes on offer as well as 14km of single track suitable for the more serious mountain biker. 

Enjoying nature at Bedgebury Pinetum

Nature lovers can wonder at the diverse collection of conifers and broadleaved trees, with specimens from all over the world. The 350 acres of Bedgebury Pinetum are carefully managed by the Forestry Commission and are home to nearly 10,000 trees and shrubs. Visitors can also spend some time observing the varied water fowl and wild birds which have settled at Bedgebury Pinetum.

Children are well catered for with play areas located throughout the forest where they can be pirates on shipwrecked galleons and clamber up, down, over and through a multitude of obstacles.

Accommodation near Go Ape at Bedgebury Pinetum 

Adrenalin rushes and excitement 40 feet above ground level are on offer with 'Go Ape'. Once safety training has been done and harnesses in place, the treetop canopy becomes an extreme playground incorporating rope walkways, zip wires, nets, tunnels and bridges.
