Goudhurst Shops

The village of Goudhurst is a two minute drive from Bedgebury Camping. It may be small, but Goudhurst can provide most of the essential items for your camping trip.

Goudhurst – Essentials

‘Burgess Stores’ sells fresh fruit and vegetables, deli-items, locally produced chutneys, jams and sauces, chocolates, delicious organic home-made ice creams and sorbets as well as an exciting array of cheeses. It also stocks local beers and some sparkling wines from the Chapel Down Vineyard in Tenterden.

Goudhurst – Local Bakery

On the hill in Goudhurst is the popular family run Bakery – Weeks. A friendly welcome always awaits customers, ideal for fresh bread, baguettes, cakes, pastries, sandwiches and afternoon teas.

Goudhurst – Chemist

The Pharmacy sells a range of over the counter remedies, toiletries, skin-care products, baby products and health-related accessories. The staff provide a very helpful and friendly service.

Goudhurst – Newsagents and Post Office

For newspapers, magazines, confectionery, cigarettes and lottery tickets the shop at the top of the hill is the place to go. A small post office is handy for sending Weald of Kent post cards to relatives and friends. You can also withdraw cash from the post office counter.

Goudhurst – Bedgebury Camping

Bedgebury Camping is about one mile from the ancient Wealden village of Goudhurst. It is set in acres of picturesque farmland and is open to those who want to experience the summer under canvass in one of England's areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
