If you want to get away for just a few hours or for the whole day, there are fun activities nearby to suit everyone. These include Mountain Biking, Walking, Watersports, Horse Riding, Fishing and the many more. Both nearby Bedgebury Pinetum and Bewl Water host high adrenalin activities and water-based activities (Bewl). Alternatively these places are ideal for walking and observing nature.


Mountain Biking in Kent

There a number of choices when it comes to mountain biking in Kent.  Bedgebury Forest is around 2.5km away along Bedgebury Road and boasts 12km of single track and a 'freeride'.  Bewl Waters has a 20km reservoir route, or if you wish to go a bit further afield there is the XC circuit at Penshurst or the Vauxhall Trails around Tonbridge.

Walking in Kent

Explore the beautiful Kent countryside on the numerous public footpaths surrounding Goudhurst. The Millennium walk is a particularly popular circular route of six miles and passes through the campsite, along the way you can search for the 16 Geocache treasures.

Fishing in Kent

There are a number of fishing lakes within a short distance of the camping ground, including Bewl Water for trout fishing and Hawkhurst Fish Farm where the lakes are stocked with carp and catfish and which is very much geared towards letting the children have a go too.
